St. Vincent and the Grenadines are a string of 32 unspoiled islands, offering an exclusive Caribbean experience. Surrounded by sparkling white sandy beaches and aquamarine seas, they offer superb conditions for sailing and an enchanting underwater world of extravagantly coloured tropical fish and coral.

The main island of St. Vincent is mostly rainforest and is still gloriously unspoiled, with lush tropical vegetation, a sleepy culture and only a smattering of luxury hotels. In the capital of Kingstown you can visit visit Fort Charlotte, explore the beautiful botanical gardens, view charming 19th century churches and stroll through the lively produce market. I the northwest you can hike to the picturesque Dark View Falls.

The Grenadines is a series of tiny Robinson Crusoe islands with idyllic beaches, reached by sea plane. The crystal clear waters surrounding these small islands and islets are a haven for shoals of shimmering fish and the Tobago Cays, a group of four spectacular uninhabited islands accessible only by boat, offer some of the best snorkelling in the world.

Canouan Island offers some chic resorts with a good choice of facilities, including a championship golf course, whilst idyllic Bequia offers laid-back elegance and unspoiled charm.

The tiny private island of Mustique is a popular retreat for the rich and famous, many of whom own villas here. It has only one hotel, The Cotton House, and the legendary Basil’s Bar with its gourmet cuisine and icy rum punch.

Private Palm Island has five stunning beaches, whilst the quaint private island resort of Petit St. Vincent in the far south has a real castaway feel - with no phones, no internet and no stress, just beautifully wild beaches.

Catching rides on fishing boats between these beach-ringed islands is a classic Grenadine experience. Conditions here for sailing are also perfect and the islands have an annual regatta, which takes place each April.
