Mexico Beach Holidays: All Inclusive
Cancun + Tulum + Cozumel + Playa Del Carmen
DETAILED ITINERARY
Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula has a spectacular Caribbean coastline, with many luxury beach resorts situated along the so-called Mayan Riviera, which stretches from the gateway city of Cancun southwards to the resort towns of Playa del Carmen and Tulum.
With warm sunshine, wonderful sandy beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters, a wonderful beach holiday is assured, whichever town you chose as your base. You can stroll along the beachfront, try a Mayan spa treatment and enjoy the wide variety of bars, restaurants and local shops on offer. Add in the colourful Mexican culture with its vibrant music, delicious food and tequila, and you will have a very special holiday experience!
Many optional activities are available - including day visits to amazing theme parks such as Xcaret Park, which showcases Mexican culture; Xel-Ha Waterpark, which is the largest natural aquarium in the world; and Xplor Adventure Park, where you can raft through amazing underground limestone caves and enjoy thrilling zip lining high above the tree canopy. You can also take a catamaran cruise, enjoy 'helmet-diving' or an underwater submarine ride.
The Great Mayan Reef (Mesoamerican Barrier Reef) stretches from the tip of the Yucatán Peninsula to Honduras, and is the largest coral reef in the northern hemisphere. Hundreds of species of fish and many endangered and protected marine animals are found here – including loggerhead, leatherback, green, hawksbill and Olive Ridley sea turtles, as well as West Indian manatees, making this a paradise for snorkelling and diving, especially off Cozumel Island. It is possible to swim with whale sharks from June to September.
Deep sea fishing can also be arranged with barracuda, mahi mahi and trigger fish being particularly plentiful. You can catch tuna all year round, and white and blue marlin and sailfish from March to July.
The Yucatan Peninsula has a fascinating history of Mayan civilisation, with day visits possible to the famous archaeological sites at Chichen Itza and/or Tulum. You can visit the Mayan caves in Aktun Chen, and nature lovers will enjoy a trip to the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, with its abundant flora and fauna.
On a holiday to the Riviera Maya you will be spoilt for choice, as there is so much to see and do.
